It's My Beautiful!

Hello Everyone,

Since I have started AZA Means Strength, I have received so much love and support from my readers! I want to take this time to say thank you from the bottom of my heart! Since I have been a way for a while, there have been many changes that have taken place for me personally and professionally. One of those changes is me wanting to give back more and do more for those who are doing for others, with that said, I wanted to let you all know that AZA Means Strength has a store called AZA Beauty! In this store you will find products with AZA's slogan "It's My Beautiful!". From items purchased at AZA Beauty, a percentage of those proceeds will go to Shine on Purpose. Shine on Purpose is a non-profit organization whose mission is to nurture, empower and transform the lives of under-served girls and women by building academic and social competence through relevant mentor-ship, professional development, educational and Christian-based programs to achieve their full potential. I chose this non-profit because I feel that it is aligned with the mission of AZA Means Strength, to empower and motivate individuals to be their best! So please view AZA's Means Strength online store at http://www.cafepress.com/azabeauty! As always, know that you have the AZA within to be the change you want to see!

Peace and Blessings,

NaTyshca Pickett

Faith connects our weakness to God’s strength.

I borrowed this from Our Daily Bread Devotional Readings. I wanted to share this, I hope you like it!
The Ironman Triathlon consists of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.2-mile run. It is not an easy feat for anyone to accomplish. But Dick Hoyt participated in the race and completed it with his physically disabled son Rick. When Dick swam, he pulled Rick in a small boat. When Dick cycled, Rick was in a seat-pod on the bike. When Dick ran, he pushed Rick along in a wheelchair. Rick was dependent on his dad in order to finish the race. He couldn’t do it without him. We see a parallel between their story and our own Christian life. Just as Rick was dependent on his dad, we are dependent on Christ to complete our Christian race. As we strive to live a God-pleasing life, we realize that in spite of our best intentions and determination, we often stumble and fall short. By our strength alone, it is impossible. Oh, how we need the Lord’s help! And it has been provided. Paul declar…

The Heart of Worship

I wanted to share my published article on www.logospost.com. I hope you enjoy!

The Heart of Worship When you think of worship, what is the first thing that comes to mind? I used to think that worship was just listening to a Christian song and feeling good inside afterwards. As a mature Christian, I understand that worship is much deeper than that. The Merriam-Webster dictionary describes worship as [the act of showing respect and love for a god especially by praying with other people who believe in the same god: the act of worshipping God or a god]. According to John 4: 23-24; “The time is coming when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, and that time is here today. You see, the Father too is actively seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” True worship is surrendering everything to God. Well what does that mean? I’m glad you asked! Surrendering everything means giving God your problems, al…
